TV/Video Production Archive

Course Description:

Students will learn the following

  • camera skills (both SD and HD)
  • lighting skills (both natural and artificial)
  • sound skills
  • editing skills (Final Cut Pro and Motion)
  • live productions (camera/talent/director)

Projects include

  • theme (demonstrate basic camera/lighting skills) and learn basic editing skills
  • commercials (30 second ads for local businesses)
  • live productions: sporting events; band/choir concerts; dance recitals; graduation; etc.
  • short movies

 

Grading:

Scale: 100-90 = A; 89-80 = B; 79-70= C; 69-60 = D; 59-0 = F

Grades are determined by the following:

Classwork = 25%; Projects = 75%

Your semester grade is determined by the following:

1st Quarter = 50%; 2nd Quarter = 50%
